Refrigerator and freezer Disposal
For Refrigerators/freezers Disposal.
Send an email to chembldg@pitt.edu with the location of the refrigerator/freezer and the account number to charge to remove the Freon ($75). The outside of the refrigerator or freezer will need to be wiped down with a combination of bleach and water before Surplus Property will remove it. Once the item has be decontaminated, the following form must be filled out and attached to the freezer/refrigerator prior to removal.

The NPL Shop can best be reached by walking up OHara St to the front entrance Allen Hall. Once you enter into Allen Hall, walk straight up the stairs in front of you and then straight down the stairs at the top of the first landing.
